I am searching what are the methods to search tour packages from UAE to the world. Basically i am trying to get answer for the below questions:

a) Is there any website i can visit to see all the tour packages available
b) how often do new tour packages appear on the site
c) if there in no one site to find all the tour offers, what are the sites i can visit.
d) Also is there a site where i can discover new travel destinations from UAE
e) What do i need to check in the tour packages to choose the best.

Thanks in advance

Hi Kiran

I'm afraid any replies to your question recommending websites are likely to fall foul of our rules on spam. We don't allow material on here which is promotional.

The main thrust of this site is for travellers to help other travellers, usually to help them avoid being stuck seeing places using tour packages, and helping them do it independently instead.

Anyone wanting to recommend websites had best do it by private message.

Many tourists just book their own flights and book their own hotels. For some countries it is not difficult to obtain a tour in person after you arrive. Doing it yourself can be cheaper, especially if you select countries that are not expensive for hotels and other daily spending.

Easiest, if money is no object, drop everything in the hands of a travel agency in your hometown. Let them do the work.

  • * Quite a few tourists from India visit Thailand. But for some reason they often choose short trips and have little time for actually doing anything.

Your choice.

Tour packages are wonderful in certain places where it would be extremely difficult to travel on your own - or in some cases the only way some destinations would be interesting. But they do have drawbacks - you'll be on a fixed schedule without enough time to see every place you visit and can't choose any of your hotel arrangments. So most people like to travel independently to maximize flexibility even if money is no issue. If you really want to book a tour package, plan on leaving UAE and staying in one country or state/province the whole time because that is how it works.

Just curious but could you clarify what you mean by this statement? I don't understand why if booking a tour you would have to stay in one country, there are plenty of tours that go to multiple countries what is wrong with them?

Back in 1950, we booked a European tour through Cooks which was a travel agency that also sold travelers checks. After that in the 60s and 70s we used a travel agent who would do the searches for us and issue tickets and an itinerary. I took a bus tour which I booked through a travel agent. In that case, I just did an internet search for tours in (in this case) Ireland which were the dates that I needed and when I decided which one to take, the travel agent booked it for me. My sister books tours through a company which does tours in various places. (I think the company she uses is too expensive)

I would normally book my own plane reservations to get to the place where the tour starts. But I have gotten better prices on the air fares by letting the travel agent who was doing the rest of the tour do the air for me.

You need to look around on the internet for yourself - figure out where you would like to go and then look for various tours.

There are different types of tours. About 12 years ago we did a package to Buenos Aires which was air and hotel and a few included excursions, some of which we did, others we skipped, otherwise you are on your own for meals, shopping, etc.
The other main type of tour is one where you are on a bus or van with others, these can be OK if there are language problems, but there is always one couple who is late back from lunch or shopping, or complains nonstop,,etc.

Like I said in my previous post you can drop everything in the hands of a travel agency where you are located. You can do this if you are unable or incapable of doing the simplest research.

The world is pretty big you should have some sort of idea or where to go. You should be able to decide when to go. Ex. Going for skiing choose a country and month when snow is available. If beach areas choose a country that has good beach area for the month you visit. Decide how long to visit and the visa requirements for your particular passport.

If you intend to go to some country for employment there are additional entry requirements needed. Some countries do not want outsiders coming in and taking jobs away from their citizens. Some countries may require show money to prove you will not be a burden to their society.

You are the only one who knows how much money you have to pay for everything.

If you expect to show up in a foreign country and seek employment say so!

Any particular part of the world interest you??

Details, details, details! You did not fill in the blanks!

Are you saying you want someone to hold your mother's hand from leaving wherever she is located to wherever she is going?

Maybe re-state your question and be more explicit for what you are looking for.

Where does your mother want to go?

When does your mother want to go?

How many countries on her wish list? Just one or several?

How long will she be gone.

Etc.
