Eighteen months ago , The National (based in UAE) suggested that Yeti were bad but Buddha were even worse, failing to get safety approval. If I were you, I'd be inclined to get the overnight bus!

Either one is OK, although Buddha Air is bigger and has two flights daily from Janakpur to Kathmandu. I've flown Buddha Air, most recently Oct. 14, 2018, from Kathmandu to Surkhet. While I have not yet flown on Yeti Airlines, I have traveled several times on its Tara Air subsidiary.

Airlines in Nepal serve some of the world's most dangerous airports nestled in the Himalayas. The runways are short, surrounded by mountains, and buffeted by strong winds, particularly in the afternoons. There have been fatal crashes. The air journey between Janakpur and Kathmandu takes about 30 minutes. The bus trip takes about 11.5 hours. Your choice.

One more thing. Flights in Nepal are subject to delay or cancellation for a variety of reasons, including weather. That's one reason I decided not to fly from Talcha to Surkhet or Nepalgunj after visiting Rara Lake. Several people already had waited a day or two for a flight.

The question was about travelling from Janakpur to Kathmandu.
Do any of those airlines fly that route?
