I am looking for a travel companion to Ghana in October/November 2019 for approx. 2 weeks. I am 67, fit and well travelled. I am not a backpacker but neither 5 star. I like nature, scenery and village life. While I enjoy beaches, i am not a beach holiday person.
If interested please contact me for more details

Paul, you might have more luck finding a travel companion if you fill out your Profile Page. List your home and your travel interests and perhaps write a little about yourself. Most of us look at a Profile Page before we answer a question and certain do before offering to travel with someone.

Just a suggestion. Enjoy your trip.

Dear Beausoleil,
Thank you for your advice. I have taken it.

Looks good Paul. You should have no trouble finding a travel companion. BTW, don't be afraid of going by yourself. I suspect you'd meet a lot of friendly people on the trip. My husband and I have noticed that when we are by ourselves, people tend to be more apt to start a conversation than when we are a pair. I think it's just easier to strike up a chat with a single than a double or a group.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Hello Paul,
How is your plan to Ghana going ?
I am also thinking of going to Ghana this automn ; it will be in November.
But I don't think I would be a good companion to travel with, Paul, I am afraid, as I don't really know where I will be going, and where I will be staying.
However we can share some information on our trips.
So far, I have been reading a lot. I would like to travel by trainĀ ; do you know by any chance the railway routesĀ ? As far as I was able to get on the web, there are two railway lines, one is from Accra to Nsawam and the other one is from Accra to Tema. The others are closed. I also wish to take the MV Yapei Queen on the Volta lake. It usually says that it leaves Akosombo every monday afternoon but I read on a recent article that it now only runs once every two weeks and leaves Akosombo on Tuesday.
Thank you, Take care,
Etienne (from France).
