Just did a simple google search....

The article in the link below mentions the price in SGD at $31 as of 2016, so possibly tack on an extra dollar? That quoted 2016 price is equal to AUD $32.75 now, according to Xe.com.

If you want to dissuade her, what they're calling the Long Bar was built in the 1980s, the original no longer exists.

Afternoon Tea in the Tiffin room at Raffles is also very nice. Some decent 'British' style tea and a buffet which (when I was last there) was a reasonable price and very high quality. A really good place to relax after a morning walking between very chilly malls and oppressively hot streets.

We were pretty disappointed with our visit to Raffles. We riff raff are carefully herded away from the paying guests, so get to see little of the hotel. As AndyF said, the Long Bar is not the original, and can't even recreate the atmosphere, as it is just full of tourists, and trays of Singapore Slings.

We decided not to bother with the Long Bar, and went down to the bar in the courtyard instead, which was a much nicer place to sit and enjoy a relaxed cocktail.

So expensive for the Singapore sling at Raffles! We were there a few years ago and the whole hotel was undergoing extensive renovations as well...not sure if this has been completed yet.
