I've added a new way for you to use any tips you have created. Now you can attach them to your blog entries.

I've written up the process in a bit more detail here:

How to add tips to your travel blog

The tips will appear at the end of your blog entry. It's like a "Further Reading" section that you can add on.

Let me know what you think if you decide to try it out!

I just spotted this - interesting development! I'll give it a try some time soon

Had to instantly try, and I like it! :)
had some hickups though (making the tip-part), they can be doe to my internet/laptop, I don't know but I will mention them anyway..
The map was slow, first I thought that it doesn't work at all but then, after some serious clicking, I found my self in Ghana
And the add photos, the +-icon I am suppose to click to add the photos, well, it doesn't work, I had to click the Download photos text instead :)

The adding the tip in to the blog part worked perfectly :)

Thanks for the feedback Henna. Glad you like it even though there were some difficulties adding the tip.

I'll see if I can improve on some of the process of adding tips. It does seem a little too fiddly at the moment which clearly leaves a bad first impression.

One thing, if you add tips as you are travelling it will default the location in the map to your current location which makes the whole process a LOT easier. Of course, you need to remember to bust out your phone to add the tip while you're out and about which may or may not be practical :)

Looking forward to seeing how people use this

I've only done three tips but put them in the appropriate places and had no trouble. Works nicely. Thank you. Now I need to get busy and do the tips. Not a good time of year for extra projects . . .

I thought I would review a hotel from our trip to Paris, but I can't get to a hotel review - it insists on it being an attraction. I could also write a restaurant review, but the same problem.

Ok, i figured it out. I have to go to the third step to get to the hotel.

When I wrote tips for VT, I did the photos first and then did research (to find addresses and URLs and phone numbers) to go along with them. I can redo those tips without much hassle. I just have to figure out if the places that I went then are still there. No point in writing a restaurant tip for a restaurant that has gone out of business. It's harder for me to write new tips because I have to find the text first and then add the photos.

I just tried to do a tip for Key West and I just could not get the map to move so the tip is in the middle of the ocean someplace.

For me patience and lot of clicking helped but of course I can't say that you had exactly the same problem than me :)
