Oh I see. It is because I cannot get the map to move to the correct place (I can't zoom it or move it) , that means that the photos will not be for that place.

Could this be an issue at your end, with your browser maybe, rather than with TP?

I'm using the same browser as I have been using when it worked, and I tried another one and it wasn't any better.

I have another question about tips - will it be possible in due course to comment on friends' tips as we can on their blogs, and maybe star them like photos and forum replies?

My problem is that I am adding a tip for a location where I am not physically present right now. And I cannot - no matter what I do - get the map to zoom or move at all from a blank screen. I am in Virginia and I want the tip to go to Key West in Florida. If I type Key West, I get a couple of places that have already been entered, but I can't go from one of those places (like the airport) to move to a different place for a different tip - that is I can move the pointer, but it still says that it is a tip for the airport.

Ok, I think I understand what's going on here and this is not a bug. Maybe more a failing in usability of the system.

When you start typing to find the Point of Interest1 that you want to leave a tip for, you will receive a list of suggestions of already existing ones. If you click on one of those, you are choosing that point of interest. I think this is what you did. You are then presented with a page to write your review. At the top of that page is a map showing where the point of interest is. This is not editable as that location is already in our database and the location should already be accurate.

If instead you want to add a Point of Interest that did not pop up in that list of suggestions, then you need to click on the link at the end that says "Add <xxx> as a new Point of Interest"

If you click on that, you will be presented with a map that allows you to set the location of this point of interest as well as a type and a name. After you've created that you will be sent to the same page where you can write the review.

I can definitely see how this can be confusing though.

1. A "Point of Interest" is a restaurant, hotel, museum, airport, train station or any attraction that you want to leave a tip about.

The problem was that after I "Add XXX as a new point of interest", the map that I get is in the middle of a blue field and I cannot zoom or so I can see where I am, and therefore I cannot tell if the map is moving - there is nothing except a blank blue field so there is nothing to relate to.

And of course if I go and add the tip anyway, then I can't edit the map.

I will try again and see whether the map is going to work better.

OK - This time the map works. So that is fixed Thank you
