Singapore to Fremantle Cargo Ship

Hello!

I am about to set off on a round the world journey by train and ship. I was booked on a CMA-CGM cargo ship from Port Klang (Malaysia) to Fremantle but unfortunately they have told me this will no longer be possible due to a change of vessel on the route.

I need to be in Perth before 28th March as I am booked on the Indian Pacific to Sydney. I can leave South-East Asia any time but do not want to arrive in Australia more than a fortnight early if possible as I want to spend as much time as possible in Asia.

I am aware there are many companies running from Singapore. These include Maersk, Gulf Agency and Inchcape. Unfortunately I am finding getting in touch with the right people quite difficult!

If anyone local knows of any way I can make contact with a company that can help me get to Western Australia I would really appreciate it. Alternatively I could travel from Jakarta or Port Klang.

I have also looked into cruise ship movements around this time but I cannot see one which would work.

Cunard's Queen Mary 2 has a Feb. 13 sailing from Singapore, arriving March 14 in Fremantle. It also makes these ports of call: Phu My and Nha Trang, Vietnam; Hong Kong; Bitung, Indonesia; Darwin, Airlie Beach, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Busselton before arriving in Fremantle. This cruise travels two-thirds around Australia. This sailing is now being offered at a price lower than before. Check with a travel agent. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much berner256 yes had seen this. It is an option as a backup but I would lose all my time in Southeast Asia unfortunately. Also with solo traveler supplement it makes it really expensive. But I do appreciate the reply thankyou!

Also consider other ports besides Fremantle as an entry point. On one trip (using flights) I traveled to Australia via Indonesia and Timor Leste (East Timor) using Darwin as the entry point.
