Hey Everyone,

My name is Cathryn, I am currently working to gain my undergraduate degree at a university in Michigan, USA, and I wanted to join this travel forum to share my journey as I study abroad next semester. I also joined to gain insights on travel tips and best places to visit/hidden gems. I've always loved traveling, but I've only been outside of the USA twice, so I'm excited to start my endeavors of European travel in Florence, Italy.

Welcome Cathryn :) Do ask in the forums if you have any questions about your plans (tip - the most specific questions get the most helpful answers, on the whole) and enjoy the opportunity to study in Italy!

Hi!
Have a nice time spent with Travellerspoint :)
You can visit many places in Europe during your stay here. Travelling with book or internet can be a good form of studying ;)
Greetings from Poland!

Welcome to TP Cathryn. Have you checked the TP Guides for Italy and Florence? They will be very helpful if you haven't visited before.

We have a couple granddaughters at EMU. Which school do you attend in Michigan? We've visited U of M campus too. Michigan is gorgeous although we've not visited in winter. Guess that makes a difference!

Enjoy TP and your upcoming travels.
