You're much, much more likely to get a response on here or anywhere else if you post some info about yourself.

Your gender and age group are essential bit of information and giving your interests plus the type of transport & accomm you want to use will also be massively helpful.

Hi
47yr old female just out of a 26yr marriage wanting to see the world or at least somewhere warm. Likes walking not too far, loves water the fish the sea. Love to see the jungle. Working professional about to make a blind leap of faith with not an awful lot of courage to be honest. Not sure if to try Europe, America, NZ - needs to be safe for a lone female traveller. Is there anyone out there that needs room mate, somewhere I can base myself. Anywhere really as long as its warm and not the city, somewhere remote even with the possibility of hospitality work or even office work? any advice would be really helpful in my time of blind faith that there has to be something I can aim for out there!
Thanks in advance

To make this an thread of your own would be wise, people would likely not find you here looking for companions if you answer someone else's plea :) Updating your profile wouldn't hurt either :) Just an friendly suggestion, and also welcome to the forums! :)

with the possibility of hospitality work or even office work?

Working gets difficult due to work permits. Many places will welcome you for a limited period as a visitor spending money, but if you want to stay long term and take jobs that the locals could do it gets a whole lot more restrictive.

Am I right in assuming you're British?

In which case you currently have the right to work in the UK and the EU. Beyond that you'll need to check what the deal is in any particular place.

It’s usually easier to build up funds at home and go travelling, on a budget if necessary.

For cheap, much of south-east Asia ticks the box. For safety and enough sunshine for my taste I'd say you can't beat NZ. It’s a bit dearer though. As a Brit you can stay 6 months at a time. It has jungle and sun and culture and geothermals. America is restrictive about how long you can stay, it's expensive and suffers more personal crime. Europe is easy, has some sun but not usually particularly cheap.
