I am due to travel to Delhi and Rajasthan in 6 weeks time. Holiday of a lifetime - costing me a fortune. Should I change destination (go west) because of the progress of the coronavirus (India ‘ill equipped to deal with it’).
In a quandary whether to change direction now rather than have a last minute cancellation if health crisis announced for India by the time we hit 6 weeks!
Opinions welcome!

There's no need for concern. The illness is concentrated in China; and many airlines, including two of India's largest (IndiGo and Air India) have canceled their China flights. The Chinese government also is restricting the ability of its citizens to travel outside the country. I will be traveling in Gujarat and Rajasthan for 26 days, beginning Feb. 21.

Please save yourself from corona virus as it spreads through the respiratory vapor, such as when someone sneezes or coughs into the air around you.:(:(:(

Hmmm, should I listen to the advice of a guy who's one of the site moderators with a history of 1260 posts who gives me some useful detail, or an anonymous first time poster who suggests panic?

We're off to Cambodia (where there has been a confirmed case), Laos and Vietnam (ditto) tomorrow but we're not letting this stop us; although obviously we'll take sensible precautions and keep up to date with developments. If the situation changes and we have to come home (unlikely methinks) so be it, but I'm certainly not changing any plans at this stage

Oooh! Though one! Not!

Don't panic and just keep an eye on the travel recomendations of foreign affairs of your country they give the best advice in cases like this

So far India has only had one confirmed case so I would say India seems to avoiding the worst of it. I would not cancel anything yet. Keep checking the news and watch if the numbers rise otherwise I would not be too worried.

Yes, Air India and indigo flights have cancelled majority flights to China.
