Travel Forums System Talk How to set links in blogs to open in new tab?

Have a few links to add extra info to place visited and it would make navigation easier if they opened in another tab rather in the same tab as the blog.

There is an issue about the external link I'd like to highlight too.
I also find it more convenient, links to open in a new tub or to have a choice to do it...
Dos any moderator like to tell us if it is possible to be done?

Forcing users who click a link to visit that link in a new window/tab is really bad for usability, and as such is not an option which is offered at travellerspoint. The reason it's so bad from a usability point of view is that it's unexpected for visitors, and not something they can cause not to happen (if they even knew it would be happening beforehand). But it's super easy for visitors who _want_ to open a link in a new tab, to do so (ctrl-click, middle-click, right-click -> open in new tab/window). So by having links open normally by default, visitors have the most choices available to them. Also think of how hard it is to get back to the original tab when using a phone with lots of tabs open. And try to imagine what browsing would look like if a majority of links opened in a new tab/window by default...
Finally, every single person on the internet knows how to use the "back" button (the only button in any browser which is universally used). So they can always go back to your page when using a normal link - but that button gets "broken" when a new tab is opened.
