Looking for any advice or feedback on how to live and work abroad when you are too old for a working holiday visa?

I am an experienced Store Manager, and he is a Herbal Practioner (hoping to practice freelance), im happy to work any hospitality job, so that we can be by the ocean everyday.

We want to perhaps head to New Zealand for a year, but I can only find working holiday visas for the age up until 30...
Anyway, im from UK and he is Greek, incase that makes any difference.

Cheers!

Yeah as visitors you can visit NZ for six months at a time, your Greek-passport partner 3 months. But no provision for working.

In normal times Immigration New Zealand run a points system to qualify for immigration. Take a look and see how you score. It’s intended for permanent immigrants, I don't think there's anything for us over-30s like the WHV programme.

It's very simple. You'll have to apply for a work permit or visa for the relevant country. Working illegally is, of course, really *not* worth the risk in any country.

Here's the New Zealand work visa information:

If the UK was staying in the EU you'd have absolute freedom to work in any of the other 27 EU countries with no need for any sort of visa. Sadly, as things stand, that's not going to continue for you though your partner will still be able to do so.
