Can we attach a picture in a reply to another persons thread? Like this blog?

The forums (where you're reading this) are purposefully "text only", to keep them focused on the content. This area of the site is designed primarily for answering travel questions.
There is a photo gallery to upload photos, so the best you could do for including a photo is to link to one of those in your gallery.

Blogs are a feature where a single person is completely in control to share long form writing. That owner of the blog can set a theme and embed as many photos as they want, e.g. BrightlyBob’s Blab. Other people can comment on the blog entries there - but can't include photos in their comments.

In a word, no.

In a forum reply you can add links from within TP ('chain' in top bar of reply box) and from elsewhere (chain + world). So if, for example, someone was asking about sights in city X and you'd created a TP blog about city X with photos of those sites you could put the link in your reply.

Peter may decide to add a photo option to forum replies at some point but, personally, I'm not convinced that photos would be of much, if any, use in reply to TP questions. The vast, vast majority of them are asking for specific information or personal opinions about a specific issue.

[quote=therealnormanp]Great to see so many old friends and potential new friends here. Still finding my way around - but suddenly now have plenty of time to learn new tricks. Was still coming to terms with how much life can change in the blink of an eye, when Marriott decided that more change was needed...que sera - but I'd rather hang out here than play their game.[/quote
Hi Norman! Agree with you, bongo Facebook is a nightmare! Far happier here and most of our friends also seem to have jumped ship. This feels more like home!

I hate learning new techie stuff so I may be slow to participate. Is there a way to search blogs like Brightly’sBlab & A View from the Tower (IAHFLYR)?

Many of us Insiders have found their way here. With time and practice, I think this will feel like a more natural home for us than where Marriott wants to go.

Just found out that Insiders is closing so thought I'd register here too. Love BB's blogs and all the other contributors interesting chats.

And You Bob. When all of this Covid 19 blows over hopefully we can all get back to travelling again.
I'd like to ask if anyone knows if the Marriott Leeds has had the lounge moved downstairs to the lobby area yet. Stayed there summer of 2019 and one of the managers was saying it was being moved.

Don't expect an answer from me or bob. Us Lancastrians don't travel to Yorkshire willingly, have you never heard of the Wars of the Roses!

Aha, but BriLin doesn’t know that I’m Lincolnshire born and bred and us yellowbellies have very friendly regard for our fraternal Yorkies!
So, yes, I’ve stayed at the Leeds Marriott, my work takes me there fairly regularly. The lounge has always been in the first floor (US second) with nice hot and dessert food and 4-hour free beer and wine it’s a great provision. I haven’t visited since October last year but there was certainly no rumour of a downstairs move then. I was to be there last week but Covid put paid to that. Best idea is to call the property and ask...
