Greetings Travellerspoint folks!

I too am an MRI refugee. It's sad our happy little insiders community got Bonvoyed but I'm happy some of us have landed here. I look forward to meeting new folks and getting travel inspiration.

I'm trying to get a few of my past trips uploaded to my map & blog. It may take some time as I am working from home during this pandemic. It's surprising that there is not enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to do. I'm kind of jealous about the people who are doing puzzles, playing games and binge watching and streaming shows.

My husband and I are still working full time. He's poised to retire and I have 3 more years. I do hope to get several big trips in while we are still working. Once retired we can then do the things that don't cost as much money. I love to travel but my husband, not so much.

I look forward to learning my way around the site. Thanks for being so welcoming to us MRI refugees. Cheers!

Ann

I always chuckle at the folks who say, "When I retire, I want to travel the world." My come back is always, "Why wait?" I figure the time to travel is whenever you can afford it. If we make travel a priority, we can find a way to make it happen. I may not get to go everywhere I dream about, but I have been fortunate to get to many great destinations. I have no doubt that will continue through the rest of my working life and into retirement. :)

Good to see you here.

Welcome Ann, and my commiserations on the final, but pretty inevitable cancellation of the open and it’s knock on effect to your plans. With a heavy heart I’ve just cancelled my July London stay and with it any hope of a miniTIPPLE this side of TripleTIPPLE...

Welcome to TravellersPoint Ann. We've all had to cancel trips this year and are hoping some of the later ones can still happen.

I hope you enjoy your time here on TP.

Hi Ann! Get retired as soon as you can. It's only then that you realise that life is not about working, it's about living!
I saw a sign on the back of a battered camper can some time ago. It said " Retired, and having a great time travelling the world and spending the kids inheritance! " That's the way to go, no pockets in shrouds!
