My wife and I are from the U.S and we are having to cancel our trip to Australia in late October due to COVID-19 restrictions. We are considering a trip to either Greece/Croatia or Italy (Greece/Croatia are our first choice). I know that these countries either have or are about to lift restrictions for travel from countries in the EU but I can't seem to find any info on whether or not U.S citizens will be allowed to enter anytime soon. Has anyone else read anything pertaining to this? Thanks!

This year I would be looking at a domestic trip. I think any international travel would be highly unlikely. Croatia is still trying to negotiate with Slovenia to open their borders so German tourists can visit, let alone thinking anything further afield like the United States. Greece just had a scare with a flight from Doha so I think them opening to a yellow zoned country like the United States is far down the list and with October generally considered a low season the risk would not be even be financially beneficial.
