I'm planning to visit Sri Lanka for a 7 days vacation in February 2021. Is there any specific hotels that you would recommend that is safe to stay and a reliable travel agent you could get assistance to plan out the trip?

There are many available resources online and in your community that can help plan a seven-day trip to Sri Lanka.

I did an online search for "seven-day trip to Sri Lanka" and Google came up with "About 475,000,000 results (0.71 seconds)."

As for recommendations of travel agents and places to stay I suggest you take the time between now and February 2021 to read the many online reviews that are available. I'm sure you'll be able to find something to meet your needs.

Eric, fill out your profile so we can help better, such as telling us where you're travelling from.

I took a private tour of Sri Lanka with a UK-based company called Elephant Island, but your use of the word vacation suggests you may be American and I don't know whether they cover that. But in any case I'd recommend them, have done so to about a dozen people who've all enjoyed it, though their website appears to be down perhaps due to covid - elephant-island.com

Hi Eric. Welcome to TravellersPoint. You will get more (and better) answers to your questions if you fill out your Profile Page here on TravellersPoint. Most of us check a questioners Profile Page for additional information such as where he lives and his travel interests. It helps with visa questions which may not occur to the traveler. It also helps with airlines and travel agencies that may not service certain countries. Right now it helps with corona virus information which changes from country to country. It also saves us suggesting thing to do that may be of no interest to the questioner.

Good luck and I hope your trip works out.

Fill out your profile. This forum gets a lot of spam posts.

Knowing where you fly from makes it easier to make suggestions. If coming from Southern India then only a week in Sri Lanka makes more sense. If flying from North America or Europe my suggestion is to stay longer.

Forum search, Google search, buying a printed travel guide can be helpful. Even reading information from the Community Travel Guide from this forum can be helpful.

It is up to you to work up a budget and see how much per day you have available for day to day spending AFTER paying for your flight to Sri Lanka and return home. On any travel forum if you need hotel advice include a nightly price range.

Many tourists book their own flights and book their own hotel rooms without using a travel agency. Sri Lanka might be bigger than you think. It was a long time ago but I remember having a nice time in Colombo and booked a tour in person for Sigiriya Rock Fortress and a visit to Kandy.

You have 6 months to work things out. (How many people, business class or tourist, city airport you depart from will determine how much you pay for plane tickets.) Hotel nightly room charges up to you. Only you know if you always go for he most expensive rooms or you go for a cheap budget room.

* Unable to or too busy to book everything yourself check out a few local travel agencies in your hometown. This way if somehow you are cheated or unhappy with hotels or whatever you can fight it out with a local travel agency and not a business thousands of miles away. (Local tours I sign up for in person when overseas and not through a travel agency thousands of miles away. But that is me!)
