I'm planning a trip to New Orleans once I finish my summer class! What do guys suggest I do there? Any good restaurants, bars or sights I should definitely go to? Any help is appreciated. :)

My New Orleans travel blogs are here and here

I always recommend checking an event calendar for special events which can be more fun than the typical tourist attractions.

You might want to stay flexible in your plans. The Corona virus is starting to go up again in New Orleans so there may be more closings. Check right before your departure date to make sure the places you want to visit will be open. Don't mean to be a downer, but it's not much fun to go someplace and not be able to enjoy the food and fun. They are doing a lot of contact tracing so may keep it under control. Just check before you go.

And if you do go, have a great time. New Orleans is a great city.

It will be very hot and muggy this summer. I visited in late March and it was pretty steamy even then (March a couple of years ago).
I enjoyed visiting Oak Alley and Laura plantations, Oak Alley just reopened in May and Laura is supposed to reopen in early July, masks required. You would need to either take a tour or drive a rental car to visit, Uber does not operate to either.
Also enjoyed a ride on the Mississippi via boat, there are several paddle boats and stern wheelers to choose from, it is kind of hokey but a heck of a lot of fun. Some of the tours offer lunch but we took a late morning tour and stopped for Po-Bo sandwiches after.
