Hey everyone,

Just a heads up - I'm moving servers and it's a pretty big move. Things might break. They probably will.

I've just finished the move for the blogs, so they are now loading on the new system. Please let me know if you notice anything not working. Fingers crossed it's reasonably smooth. It should be a fraction faster loading the blogs actually.

Cheers, Peter

Thanks for the heads up. I've not had any problems so far today although I've really only checked the forums, not done any blogging. Will be adding an entry later so I'll let you know if there are any issues.

Thanks Peter. I haven't noticed anything so far; will let you know if I do.

I just got an error code (502) when commenting on a blog but after refreshing the page I was able to comment as normal. I've noticed the TP logo on the tab looks different - is that linked to the server move?

I'll fix that logo looking a bit off. It picked up the old one in the changes. I've made the change, it might not go up until tomorrow though. Not sure about the 502 when commenting - most likely it is related of course! I'll check the error log to see if there's any explanation :)

I just had the same thing happen - 'Error 502 Bad Gateway'. Again, on refreshing it worked OK. If it helps, this is the entry concerned: https://ils1976newzealand.travellerspoint.com/35/#comments

My blogs seem to be working fine. I just updated a web link in one and had no problems.

Well, tiny problem. I had no trouble commenting on ToonSarah's latest blog entry, but when I typed a comment on Alectrevor's blog, the comment disappeared and it told me to log in (yes, I was already logged in) and then wouldn't let me log in. Hence, the comment is lost forever . . . so sad.

I've run into the log-in problem in the past too. I am logged in; read a blog and go to make a comment and all of a sudden, it tells me to log in. In the past though, I have been able to log in.

Sorry about this. I think I know what caused it and have taken steps to avoid it happening again. Let me know if you see it again though.

One note: I have made it so you have to click a link to return to Travellerspoint to login. It used to have a login form right there on the blog, but it wasn't set up to handle the IP address check that some people go through, so I figured it better to direct everyone through the same login page. Of course, if you are logged in on TP, that login should carry across to any blog you visit, so you shouldn't really need to be logging in if you are already logged in on the main site!

Thank you Peter. I'll give it a try a bit later. Time to fix lunch . . .
