There are so many great places that I want to visit. I’ve always enjoyed Australia and New Zealand, but early reports say they are not letting people in until early 2021. A lot can change but we will have to wait and see how it all goes. All of Asia is amazing but in particular, I really miss Thailand. The people are so amazing, and I love food. The backpacking community will take a hit but soon it will be back and stronger than ever. A lot has been learned during these trying times and me for one hope everyone has learned and will appreciate traveling when we are allowed to once again.
where do you want to travel first?
Hi Biggerworld, and welcome to the forums.

Great National Parks in France and I am ready. Unfortunately, they won't let us in because our country is handling the virus so badly. But my first trip will be to France.
I really want to return to Hawaii again. My daughter wants to go for her birthday next February. Hopefully we can do that. I don't know about international travel. There are so many variables right now and most places are not really welcoming tourists from the US right now and probably for a good while in the future.
My first trip will be a road trip around my home state. Internationally my mum was looking at visiting Greece and I was suppose to accompany her but who knows if that will happen
. I am leaving my options flexible and if travel bubbles do open up then I might do a trip to New Zealand or around the Pacific Islands.
Beausoleil, I couldn't agree more and your country isn't the only one messing up the handling of the corona-virus. I really just hope that the world as a whole can come together and we can beat this as one. The traveling industry has already taken a big enough hit. Positivity and optimism are all we can do now but soon I can't wait. Also, you mention France national parks, If I was going to go to one which one would you suggest? Top 3.
Top 3 . . . tough question if I don't know what your travel interests are. I think my favorite is the Mercantour in Provence. The driving is a little scary (I'm an old lady.) but the scenery is worth it because you're in the Alps. You will also see lots of wildlife and lots of wildflowers. Great hiking trails and beautiful lakes.
It's not a national, but a regional park but I love the Brière Natural Regional Park. No mountains; it's very flat because mostly a swamp-like area but the wildlife is spectacular and there is a lot to do in the area besides the park including Guérande and the salt pans.
If you prefer mountains, Baronnies provençales Natural Regional Park has spectacular scenery. Again, you're in the Alps and about an hour from Sisteron which is spectacular. Les Mées is on the way.
The Cévennes National Park is a personal favorite and Écrins National Park may be one of the more famous. You really can't choose a top 3. It depends on what you like and what you want to do. There has got to be a park for every interest. For instance, we've never seen the new Vexin Français Natural Regional Park that is supposed to feature preserved villages. It was on our must-see list for this autumn if we can actually make the trip.
Chad or Niger.
It sorta works for my map.
Unfortunately neither are stable places.....
Libya is on there as well....except for civil wars I would be on the next plane. This has not stopped me in the past but I never visit areas not controlled by the government at night. Tripoli has been retaken so maybe...
All the best,
DAO
Zambia is a place only because I know a person at local University in the country. Hawaii, again, all thou not Oahu. It's changed for the worst. Maui or the Big Island.
