I hear smaller, lesser known countries are allowing all sorts of travel.

Take Bhutan for instance. Even some east african countries like Botswana, Kenya & Tanzania are taking in travellers from abroad

You also need to be aware of how fluid the situation is. We're seeing spikes of infection in a number of countries that are causing them to tighten restrictions. That means that you could book a ticket to a country that is open at the time of booking, only to find it closed by the date you are travelling. I would advise booking as close as possible to your travel date and where possible making arrangements that can be changed or cancelled at little or no cost. Check the terms and conditions of the companies you book with to see what the position would be should a country close its borders to you - can you get a refund, or a travel voucher, or a change of destination? Make sure you're happy with those conditions before you hand over any money.

Hi ToonSarah,

Ye it is def a nightmare to find out that you are not allowed to enter a place when you already arrived. I guess I do need to cancel my trip, if I can only get in contact with the booking agent. They are not responding now, but I guess it is hectic for them as well.
