Hello,
thanks for taking your time to read this.
So , I have Bali booked for May 2021 for 10 days. Now Bali ( Indonesia) have shut their borders till end of October maybe longer. Now that’s 1. COVID , secondly terrorism is going on & 3rd - natural disaster.
Is it worth waiting or going ?
Thoughts please...
Confused ????

I personally would have not booked anything so early. Waiting until you know for sure that tourists will not have to stay in quarantine or have some other sort of hoops to jump through. It won't be difficult to get flights to Bali on short notice when you know for sure.
Hopefully things will be back to some sort of normal by next May.
- * Your own country may have some sort of restrictions for your arrival back home too. (Or not!)
Good luck.

I've had a quick look for Bali news and don't see anything about terrorism or natural disaster at the moment, so I wonder if you're panicking a bit?
Yes the covid situation makes it a bit of a gamble.
When you say booked. A package? Or your own flights and hotel? When did you book? It's entirely possible you are covered for refunds, but that may depend on how and when you booked things.

The real dangers, like most places, is still car and bus crashes. Always has always will be.
Speaking as someone who was in a Bemo that decided to play chicken with a cement truck on a narrow bridge in Bali. Ended in a rice paddy. Luckily I was unhurt but some in the Bemo were not so lucky.

Bali was planing to open mid september, now most likey beginn 2021. Thailand is planing to open october 2020 with annoying conditions, First 14 day quarantene depending on hotel between 1000$ and 10000$, minimum stay 30 days and insurance covering Corona costs for 100000$.

May of 2021 feels a little risky to me. There may be forced quarantines, etc... that would make a 10 day trip impossible. If possible, book everything refundable, then decide closer to the date if it's worth making the trip or not.

I want to explore Bali in May 2021. There are many places to visit in Bali are Pura Tanah Lot, Mount Batur, Uluwatu Temple, Ubud Monkey Forest, Ubud Art & Culture.
