Has anyone studied at a language school in Central/South America? I am looking at a place called Casa Rosario in Guatemala. I'm looking to go for about a month or two before heading down through to Paraguay.

Casa Rosario is in one of the most beautiful places that I stopped during my travels throughout Central America. Set on the side of a grassy slop in San Pedro it overlooks Lago Antitlan - volcanoes and lush greenery right down to the glassy lake. We stayed there for two weeks after planning on staying was the lazies part of our trip but there is plenty to do....climb volcanoes, cliff diving, shopping in the markets, day trips to chichi, you can even dive! I didnt actually learn spanish here but my brother did and he said it was a great experience....we also met a girl there who taught in the local school after brushing up on her spanish-she said it was very rewarding.
Antigua seems to be the most popular place to learn spanish, it is busier (more bars/restaurants/places to stay) but not as beautiful in my eyes!

i plan to go to brasil for improving my portugues and i will attend a language course at a university. with this i also get a student visa which allows me to stay for 1 year.

maybe thats an option for you to: staying at a university than just a normal language school.
