New guess Ecuador?
Thank you! I like that photo quite a bit.
It's not in Ecuador, either.

You have photos from Panama and Nicaragua. The Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina is off the coast of Nicaragua, but not that close.....
Are we on the Caribbean coastline?

The Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina....
I believe San Andres, Providencia and Santa Catalina is a department of Colombia? This location is not part of Colombia.

Hmm...
No - not this part of the country...

Costa Rica?
No, it's not Costa Rica.
It's not anywhere in South America.
There are several clues here....

There is a shared border with Panama, but doesn't look like any connecting roads or any small islands...
Sorry, just saw this one - it's not in Panama.
It almost has to be the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. You've implied that the country has a Caribbean coastline but that that is not the part shown. The clumps of sargasso on the beach indicate an ocean shoreline. It's not Panama or Costa Rica or Colombia and the only other country that has a significant presence on both shorelines is Nicaragua. Technically it could be Guatemala or Honduras but there's little reason for travelers to go to the Pacific coasts of those countries. No idea which beach though.
