Not Western Australia at all...
Can you name the place in the photograph game?
Some of the homes here are very basic...
And around the town there are signs of the movement of lots of earth. The second pic I posted shows this,:while there's more to be seen here...
... and a better look at the first pic shows it clearly too
I believe someone is sending me a private message, but I'm not able to access private messages. I was asked to verify my e.mail, I did that but still I can't access the messages.
Okay so not in west..Would like to guess Toowoomba but it would seem too obvious..hmm..Warwick?
No major earthworks in Toowoomba or Warwick...
Wrong state too, not in Queensland.
Am I right to assume that 'major earthworks' = mining? In some of your photos there appears to be a mine lift shaft tower in the distance.
Yes, the photos make it clear that the town is more or less surrounded by mining.
Lightning Ridge then?
Not Lightning Ridge...
There are no major overburden mountains there as in these photos.
LR is first thing that came in to my head when thinking about mining in Australia. I have a opal from there in my necklace that gramps had mined in the early 70's
Ok. There are some hills in Coober Pedy, aren't there?
