Another shot in the dark:
Morskie Oko, Tatry, Poland?

Yes your shot in the dark hit its mark:). The lake in the picture itself is called Czarny Staw pod Rysami about 1km above the main lake Morskie Oko. Climbing to it is where the famous look out over Morskie Oko is.

Now it is your turn;)

At least my guessing game is now officially started

Ok, so, north and slightly east... Carpathians, Romania?

Someone got there before you but don't let that put you off:). You were heading in the right direction, every guess is another clue that will get you to the destination;).

Woohoo...
Please have patience for a few hours, I am just about to leave for an appointment at the doctor's. (Nothing serious, just a blood test.) I'll post a photo when I'm back.

Hmm, I'm sure I've seen this, but can't for the life of me remember where. It looks Moorish in style, based on the top of the pavilion, but that still could be lots of places. Will have a think - and maybe later look through some old photos of my own!

Moorish in style is correct and a very good hint.

OK, after much brain racking and looking through old photos, I think it is the Moorish Park in Stuttgart. Didn't actually get to see much of it as we were there for the Cannstatter Volksfest before heading on to Munich for Oktoberfest.

Stuttgart is correct! The name of the park is Wilhelma, after the founder King Wilhelm of W├╝rttemberg. Nowadays it is part of the zoo and botanical gardens.

Your turn!
