Good idea, especially if you are a frequent flyer Qantas member living in Australia!
I do hope the eager passengers will see many great things when crossing the Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales. That would have made a nice travel blog!
Viva Qantas that never ceases to cater for eager travelers! :)

I don't think I could justify it from an emissions viewpoint. We avoid flights in favour of overland travel as much as we can. Whilst we do take some 'scenic' flights, we think really carefully about them and only take the few that really seem worth it, such as Nazca and Uluru. So I think this might be a no for us.

I agree with Tabitha. Commercial flights are a necessity, avoided where possible - both on environmental grounds and because a cramped ride with lots of people in a metal cylinder is not much fun.

Maybe somebody should point out to those taking such flights that the Earth is facing crisis through something called "Climate Change".

I travel and my destinations mean flying - so I could be called hypocritical. But when I travel I fly to a country and then spend several months+ travelling round using buses, trains, etc. so my air miles per day travelling are lower. Certainly a massive contrast to those departing, burning aviation fuel to CO2 for 7 hrs and arriving exactly where they left from!

But some have not yet got over their love of coal (wonder what country that is).

Maybe an even stranger "non-flight" but at least a much lower carbon footprint

Singapore Airlines sells out meal experience on planes that don't take off

People in Singapore are finally flocking to the city’s airport again – but not for a flight out of the city.

Singapore Airlines has started offering customers the opportunity to have a meal experience on a grounded Airbus A380, and says that its first service sold out in less than 30 minutes.
.....
Tickets for a meal in a first-class suite went for about £360, business class seats were priced at £181, premium economy seats for £54 and it was £30 for economy class. There was also an option for customers to pay through their frequent-flyer miles.

I wouldn't. High chances you'll get covid inside the plane LOL
But I would order the business class food set being sold by some airlines :)

Qantas airline sold some of their trolley minibars complete with alcohol. They sold out in something like half an hour

Ya know, if a local airline did this where I live, I'd probably do it. If it were a "meal scenic flight" where we were served a meal like breakfast or lunch during the flight and I got FF miles, I'd probably do it. I've only been on like 7 flights in 7 years. I actually miss flying commercially.

He'll yeah! We do it here all the time, mystery tours!

I'd do it, especially If I knew it didn't contain self obsessed narcissistic twats that preach "how they don't or do something" for hours on end, my god, youd be calling for the flight attendant and ice picks in minutes... bluuuuuggggg kill me now!
