Am planning a trip to South Africa soon by jeep ....just wondering about my safety in Sudan
Thnx
Road tripping turkey to south africa
I would cut Sudan from the list. At the moment it is in chaos and COVID 19 has only made things worst. They have a food crisis along with floods and their economy is shot. I don't think they would want tourists getting in the way

It makes for an interesting route and poses numerous questions. How do you plan to travel by road from Turkey to South Africa? Does it include crossing the border between Turkey and Syria, etc.? And when is "soon"?
Sudan is problemmatic at the moment. It has experienced the worst flooding in a century. A state of emergency was declared in September for three months. See these links:

If safety is of concern I would agree with Teoni that it would be wise to reconsider your plans, particularly if those plans include imminent travel to troubled areas and hot spots. With extensive flooding, there is no assurance that the roads you plan to travel on remain passable. There could be problems obtaining fuel, food and clean water. Security also is likely to be problemmatic after a disaster. And many people are likely to be in desperate need.
If you're determined to go, check with the folks at the Acropole Hotel in Khartoum. Many travelers use their services.
