A bad time for spontaneous holidays

Travel Forums Introductions A bad time for spontaneous holidays

Hello everyone,

I'm a spontaneous trip kind of person, but now I'm trying to find the joy in planning ahead (as most of us are). I do have to travel internationally for work now and again.

Anyway, looking forward to revelling in some group optimism here on the forums.

Planning ahead is fun, but keep your plans flexible. We had to cancel two trips this past year and managed to do it without losing any money. Make bookings that can be cancelled without penalty and be ready to negotiate vouchers and rebates if necessary. We now have two trips planned for next year and hope they work out.

That said, planning ahead is great because it gives you something to look forward to and keeps you motivated. We will get through this . . .
