"..3000$ in total. I already went a few days in Thailand and 3 months in Cambodia... So I want a different country and culture.. Maybe an Arabian country?"

-

From the $3000 you subtract the cost of your flights to and from your selected destination. The remainder is what is left for day to day spending.

  • I was in Morocco for a short visit a long time ago. It was okay for a visit. Also, a long time ago I was in Kenya, mostly Mombasa area. Had some neat safari type tours out in the boonies.

Good luck.

An Arab country, or one in the Arabian Peninsula?

Among Arab countries that are readily accessible, Egypt and Tunisia generally will be easier on the budget than Morocco.

I honestly didn't make research between An Arab Country and the Arabian Peninsula. I just tried to give some hints about our directions and thank you for your articles ;) I'm a Canadian french so maybe I wasn't clear, sorry!

There are websites you can pull up with a browser search that will give you an idea of cost. After you find a couple places you have an interest in check with the particular Canadian agency that provides information for the safety of Canadian citizens in foreign countries. Check with the particular embassy or consulate in that country too.

(Sample search.)

Keep an eye on weather conditions for your chosen month of travel.

Good luck.

Hey man! Honestly, whatever you choose, my advice will always be never only stick to one country. Once you're somewhere, tickets to bordering countries will be so much cheaper and you should take advantage of that. For my coming of age trip I did Korea, Japan, China, Thailand and Philippines. Cost me about your upper limit, but of course I took the budget route with everything and tried to cut costs wherever I could. If you're looking for adventurous trips, definitely look into the price of that first. I just walked around and met locals! - Gustavo Woltmann
