Hi travellers,

Who is your all-time favorite tour guide and what made you enjoy this trip so much? was it the way this person guided you through a difficult terrain or the love the guide had for the community? Also maybe you can drop the website of the guide so me and others can possibly enjoy this too. Let me know!

Dropping the website is likely to break our forum rules on spam.

To be honest, my favourite tour guide is myself and a good guidebook.

Look, Pieter Why don't you introduce yourself properly, take a look at the Terms and Conditions of this website, fill out your profile, read other members' blogs, create your own blogs and ? Then I might consider answering your questions, but not now. Sorry, mate.

Internet is my best tour guide as it provides me every info related to my travel destinations.

I have never needed to continue any long term relationship with a tour provider after he or she brought us back to the hotel or where we can bail out.

I have signed onto tours from local travel agencies and even sometimes hotel tour desks in person as needed. I do some research on some of the things I have interests in. I do what I can on my own but I will take some specific tours that interest me and to save time. I have no problem choosing something from column "A"or "B" or whatever method they have to describe the particular tour.

At the conclusion of the tour I say thanks and if there is a tip container I will probably drop something in the can. Unless the guy is a total donkey!

Never used one long term, have hired local guides for stuff like hike or fish. The one and only time I took a tour in Europe, we had different local guides for the different cities we visited.
