Looking for a nomadic person who wants to travel the USA by Bicycle. Would like to go from state to state and meet some awesome people on the way . Good exercise . Maybe someone has done this or someone on a journey or spiritual conquest wants to join ? Share your experience and minimal stuff you would carry!

All comments welcome

Good luck with your project.

You will very likely get more interest if you fill out your profile so people can see a little about who they'd be travelling with.

You don't identify where you are starting from or even where you are from. The US is pretty big, all sorts of weather patterns, hills, mountains, deserts, etc.

Simple Google type search comes up with quite a few organizations and other helpful advice.

Where do you intend to start from?

Not everyone wants to go out on some new adventure with a total stranger.

Good luck with your search. I would be happy to join myself, but alas, it will only be possible in a couple of months :c
I hope you will succeed, we will wait for feedback on your trip :D

Tee tee

So, what time of the year do you plan on doing this bike odyssey? Also, where will you start from?

Good luck.

Is this a genuine query looking for companions? I ask only because there is so much missing information. People who tour cycling tend to have wide ranges of daily distance. Some struggle on 30 miles per day, others feel like they are getting nowhere if they do less that 100 miles per day. Camping or hotels/motels? (carrying camping gear adds a lot of weight and cost if you don't already have it). What part of the country (West and East have some pretty challenging "hills")? What time of year e.g. Southern Tier in mid summer (with long stretches without water top-up) summer heat and e.g. 270 mile stretch without services - OK you wont be doing Southern Tier mid summer but climate makes a big big difference.

Looking to travel with a 20 year old clubbing and partying most nights of looking to travel with a 60+ retiree ...

A lot of missing info from the query.

I actually found a great site called -snip- where a bunch of people are looking for people for their own bike tours like myself! I plan to do eat coast to west coast
via trans am and cut off before hitting the desert . if it's really successful event to other states in a different route. If anyone wants to share experiences more than welcome !
