Just google 'volunteer africa' and you'll get loads of websites and organisations.

This isn't the place to give loads of links and without knowing your location, citizenship or your skills and interests it's impossible to suggest which options might be good for you.

You'll need to pay for your travel and, usually, for your food and lodging whilst volunteering. Obviously, almost all available funds go directly to the people being helped. Only a very few options are free and those placements are generally for people with specific, specialised skills.

A long time ago, when still employed, I worked a few "expeditions" with Earthwatch. You have several types of volunteer groups you can look over. (Back then, for me, the amount of money I put into this type of charity was considered a tax deduction.)

Make Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo and other search engines your new friend.

Good luck.

It would be wise not to divulge any contact or personal information to those you do not know.

It might be better for the people of Africa if you simply sent money to a favorite charity rather than paying for your transportation and lodging to do volunteer work. Unless, of course, you have a very specialized skill they simply can't get there.
