Hi again!

I am wondering what footware & clothing to take on my 12 month RTW trip to SEA, OZ, NZ, Fiji & USA.

I want to get a pair of comfortable walking shoes that will be hardwearing and I am after some suggestions? Bearing in mind that I will be going to a lot of hot places.

Since I will be in SEA during monsoon period is it advisable to get shoes with a gor-tex XCR layer?

Also I would like some advice about what clothing I should take and quantities too? I only want to take the essential stuff.

Ideas please???

Hi Matt,

I have done most of my travelling in a pair of purple doc martins (which have retired disgacefully now.. has to be the green ones next trip) and a pair of sandals like teva's which are invaluable for the hot weather, swimming & showering in.. when you get down under pick up a pair of jandals and you'll fit right in (that's flip flops to most of you)

Don't worry about the clothes too much as you can pick them up along the way.. a couple of t-shirts, shorts, 1 jeans, shower-proof jacket, warm top, hat, sunglasses.
