Hi everyone, I need help with something. I'm planning a short trip from Montreal to Los Angeles, and even though Air Canada offers a nonstop flight, it is at extremely inconvenient hours (i'd basically waste a day by arriving super late to LAX, and waste another day by having to leave extra early from LAX back to YUL). Same deal with West Jet. My question is this: will it improve after COVID ? Is this just because of flights shortage or was it always so inconvenient ? I have never travelled to the USA by plane so am not knowlageable, but I feel such places like Montreal and Los Angeles should have more than one direct flight per day. Anyone know ?

Thank you very much

Nonstop drive: 2,847 miles or 4582 km

Driving time: 41 hours, 22 minutes

This is a really long drive, so it's not very realistic to drive nonstop.

I am talking about flights. Going by plane. Without layover. Anyone knows if there will ultimately be more nonstop flights from Montreal to Los Angeles ? I am planning on going there often.

Looks like you have to pay more money for flight departure times you prefer.

Google type search comes up with links that you can access for info. (Just fill in the blanks.)

Good luck.

Kayak shows 3 nonstops from Toronto to LAX all with Air Canada, one leaving at 8am and the other 2 leaving after 6pm.
Not sure what the situation is with demand and supply for travel outside of Canada.

Thank you ! Yes it seems I won't have the choice to layover in Toronto.
