We are looking to travel to USA after spending 2 weeks in Mexico, as we live in the UK. I have been jabbed with Astra Zeneca/Oxford vaccine (both doses). How do I prove vaccination status, as AZ is an approved WHO vaccine as stated on CDC website. Will the NHS app be accepted for proof? Would love to hear from others who have done the same or anyone who would know the rules. Many Thanks!

I assume you're UK citizens? And I also assume you're intending to fly, because only essential travel is allowed over the US/Mexico land border.

The WHO may have approved AZ as a vaccine but as far as I know the US still hasn't (imo one of the stumbling blocks in the US re-opening for fully-vaccinated UK & EU citizens).

I can't tell you whether the NHS app would be considered proof by the airline and/or US border officers (I doubt anyone knows as yet) but I'm not aware of any US requirement for proof of vaccination on entry from Mexico or anywhere else. You must, however, provide proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure, regardless of citizenship and/or vaccination status:

As a citizen of a banned country you will probably also have to prove to the airline and to US border officers that you have been out of the UK (and anywhere else on the banned list) for the previous 14 days. Phones don't always work so having hard copy is a good idea.

Currently the USA does not recognize the Astra-Zeneca vaccine. They are considering it right now but there is no way to tell what the result will be. Our numbers are going up and that won't help.

Can't help much with entry requirements other than you have to have an antigen or PCR test within 72 hours of entering.
Many many places are in the news now about requiring proof of vaccine such as clubs and restaurants, Disneyland and various other venues. There was a big long post over on the Reddit LA forum this morning about The Abbey club requiring proof of vax, among others.
