Hello all,
I'll be in South America from the beginning of September to sometime in December 2006, then in Central America until the end of Jan 2007.
Its my first time travelling anywhere, despite having reached the ripe old age of 23, and I'll be going on my own, so any companionship would be gladly welcomed.
Liz.

Hi
Am about to embark on adventure to South America, taking my self to Rio on 30 June for a 17 day tour to Buenos Aires, then will make my way slowly, over land, to Bolivia then Peru and down to Chile, out of Santiago on 16 September.
If anyone is doing a similar route and would like to exchange some tips I would be delighted!
Sarah

So many youngsters here! I'm 26 and it's only my first time backpacking. I envy the ones who are doing multiple months!
From June 17 onward I'm going to be solo-ing South America starting in Buenos Aires for a couple weeks. Then in no particular order I plan on visiting Montevideo, Iguazu, Asuncion, and Santiago de Chile, all by bus over the next 2-3 wks. I want to leave my itinerary flexible should any cool sites/persons present themselves along the way.

Hey Guys!
I arrived in Ecuador on 29th May, here studying and voluntering until the end off July. Then flying off to Peru for a month to spend some time around cusco.
Buses the rest of the way...
Bolivia (Sept/Oct)
Chile (would like to catch end of ski season but no set plans. Thought Nov would be a good time to attempt Torres Del Paine)
Argentina (hoping to go whale watching and see some Penguins at Peurto Madryn before heading up to BA)
Possibly Uruguay
Brazil for new year and also want to take a trip to Salvador and maybe take up Capoeira!
Should be heading back to UK early Feb. Who knows, maybe i´ll have enough cash left to stay for carnival?!!
Mainly travelling alone so always pleased to make new amigos!
Hasta luego
