No thank you, don't even own a GPS and do not plan to get one. Google "Death by GPS"

Death by GPS should be renamed to Death by lack of common sense. Anyone who thinks following a GPS is going to magically create a road over a lake has bigger issues than bad GPS instructions

I think of the GPS that tried to make us cross a bridge that was closed for repairs in Bordeaux. We had to turn it off, cross another bridge and then turn it back on to find our hotel. Once across the river, the GPS worked fine.

If you want to get lost, turn off the GPS. That's easy. I love getting lost. You find so many fun things that way.

I have to agree with this.. You do have to use some common sense. And KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN too!

Since I do a lot of hiking in deep forests I depend on my gps many times and I have no issues with that. Sure common sense and nature knowledge healps a lot, but sometimes the weather is just too stormy, the sky too covered, the nature too destroyed or affected, and so, the commong things one knows and how to get back on your way just don't work... so I always have an old style compass on me (in case the gps has no battery or so) but the gps is a god send for us who wander in the least walked paths.

So I am happy the technology is getting better with time.

Getting lost is sometimes part of the fun in a new city.
