Star this if you like it!
I have several browsers that I use. I can't use Firefox on this computer because it doesn't work on this version of Windows.
So have a browser called Watrfox, which i like because it is the only one that I can swipe photos over like I could with FF.
Twice today I have tried to log in and I get that irritating message that I need to supply a verification code. AND I DO NOT GET A CODE
Why can't you tell it is me? Just because I log in with Waterfox instead of Chrome? I am getting really tired of this. I tried never logging in with Chrome, and that worked for awhile but then I accidentally used Chrome for something.
PLEASE

Do you have the Edge browser on your computer?
If so, you can get the code number on Edge and try to use it on the new browser.
When I was using Windows 10 exclusively I could pull up TP on Edge, Firefox and Chrome browsers. On my old Win 10 - Edge, FF and Chrome browsers - still work.
- Now trying to get used to a Chromebook. I had a hard time opening TP until I did some adjustments to Accessibility under Settings. (My old Windows 10 still works for backup, but it is over 6 years old.)
Good luck.

Hve you checked your spam folder for the TP code email?

Checking the spam filter is a good suggestion. I have received code numbers in the spam filter from TP.
What was odd when I got the "different IP address" with my set up is that both the Windows 10 computer and the Chromebook get the signal from the same router!

I checked each time. It was not in the spam folder.
I wrote the email from Chrome. I don't use Edge for TP.
Last night about midnight, I got all three codes, and was able to log in on Waterfox.
I've had this problem before. Why can't TP keep me recognized? What do I have to do?

>Why can't TP keep me recognized?
Because the relevant cookie is placed within the individual browser, not within the device you are using.
For example, if you usually log in on your laptop using e.g. Chrome there'll be a TP cookie within Chrome *on that laptop* which allows TP to recognise you. If you try to login on that laptop using another browser there won't be a cookie present so you'll have to do the code thing, just as you do if you login via your usual browser but from another device.
>I got the "different IP address" with my set up is that both the Windows 10 computer and the Chromebook get the signal from the same router
Each device has its own IP address regardless of the router it's using.

But I logged on with Waterfox before and went through that and got recognized. Why didn't it keep the cookie?

I think you need to investigate your Waterfox settings. Maybe they're set to delete all cookies when the browser closes or to only allow session cookies on TP/other sites? Maybe you must actively set TP as a 'safe site' in order for cookies to be retained after your close the browser?

I just looked, and there is no option to erase cookies.
