On the "blog settings" page it mentions the feature of "customised maps" availablw to paying subscribers.

But I can't find any information about what this feature is.

Please help

Thanks
Marc

This is the thread where the feature was announced: New: Change the style of the map embedded on your blog.

You can choose what the map will look like when embedded in a blog.

Here's what the interface looks like, with an example of my map using the "satellite" view:

Small thing to add.. you can also create a standalone version of the map that has custom styling. This sits on a page without Travellerspoint branding and can be used for sharing around. Here is an example of my map using the Voyager template.

There are some other small customisation options that are enabled for supporting members. For example, you can turn off the hotel / car hire links as well as the guide content that shows by default.

Some more options will be added in the next map update. But I'll wait until that's ready before talking too much more about that

Thanks, Peter - sorry I missed this reply of yours.

So here's where I'm at:
1. I use BaseCamp to plan routes
2. Then export to KML and upload to Google My Maps and from there share the link:
https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=16wEQ-uC6R42CGHnxIqphOKivCGbKc1o&usp=sharing

This seems to be my working (mapping) solution for now.
I'll also collect my ACTUAL route from my Garmin as I go; and prob upload that.
I'll also have a sat device (Spot probably); which will unavoidably be another map for people to see my live location (and in case of emergency outside GSM signal).

I'm still planing to use TP for the other stuff: Blog / Subscription management / media

Regards
Marc
