Hey, have just decided to go RTW from october this year for 3 months and was hoping for some general advice. Am a fairly seasoned traveller, though i have stuck to europe thus far. This time im planning on visiting:

Hong kong
most of the east coast of Aus from melbourne to Cairns, inc Ayres rock
Auckland and many places in between
New York.

I am from the UK and wont be in any 1 place longer than 30 days. Can anyone give me advice on visa info, vaccinations i may need and any stories about train or bus travel through S.E Asia. Thinking of taking a train from hanoi yo bangkok and then down to singapore.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and any useful websites would be great.

You'll need to get a visa for China before you arrive

Cut Singapore out of your list. Singapore is like any other city in the world. I would suggest that u take airasia ( from BKK-KUL (cost will be cheaper than taking a train from BKK - SIN) and then from KUL (kuala Lumpur) take airasia and travel to Kota Kinabalu or Kuching in Borneo. It will be definately be cheaper than staying in Singapore.
