Has anyone been to either Bostwana and Namibia since 2020? Any restrictions on travel and most importantly, availability of that PCR test within whatever-is-the-current time limit of flights returning to the US.
Botswana, Namibia, Angola

Just a heads-up that the USA lifted the proof of a negative PCR or antigen test requirement on 22nd June (for both US and non-US citizens):

Thanks for feedback. While that is true, but these rules pop in/out depending on the current rate of variants. Good idea, methinks to know the availability of facilities. Any idea for these countries?

None whatsoever, sorry.
Hi Wanderlust,
I live in Botswana and so have to keep up to date with the rules !
There is a large medical laboratory called Diagnofirm in Botswana which does PCR tests, and they have branches in all the likely exit and entry points from Botswana - and many other places besides. Turnaround time varies a little depending on where you are, but there is no real problem in getting a test if you need it. I don't think the forum rules will let me post a link to the map of their testing locations but you can find it easily enough.
You don't need a PCR test to enter either Botswana or Namibia provided that you are fully vaccinated, and if you want to make a side trip to see the Victoria Falls Zambia doesn't require one either.
Mask wearing is compulsory in Botswana in all public places. If you develop any symptoms the government clinics, even in the small villages, all provide rapid antigen tests.
Good luck with your planning ! Graeme

Many thanks, Graeme for the info. This is great news! Yup, I'm vaxed and boostered so should not be a problem. I've been to Botswana once very briefly and been meaning to go back for a longer stretch. And want to wander through Namibia and Angola this time around. Thanks again!
