Hi, I am looking for travel buddies.
I would love to travel to Thailand to chill on the beach, meet new people and travel around.
I am 40 years old jeweller.
Thank you
Eva

Many women visit Thailand on their own.

I think if you need a travel buddy your best chance will be back home where you also have an idea who the person really is. With a random request there may be some guys who may expect you to pay for everything!

I have been to Thailand many times over 20 years. Partly work and partly on my own. I have come across female tourists even much older than you having a ball.

In Bangkok, and major cities that tourists visit, local travel agencies set you up with shared tours in person. Some hotels even have city and other interesting tours you can sign on to. Select tour one day and leave following day. You may meet new friends on a tour or in your hotel.

Thailand is "user friendly" and easy to do. Road signs are often in English as well as Thai. Many people you come in contact with will speak enough English to understand you. One thing you can do before you visit is to learn how to say hello and thank you in Thai. Also knowing a few basic numbers can be helpful when dealing with street vendors. (If a street vendor needs help in translation he or she will call over another vendor to help you.)

Beaches. The month you choose to visit will determine which beach locations are best for swimming. (Google search can be useful for this.) Thailand might be bigger than you think. (Bangkok is worth of a visit in my opinion!) Bangkok, Chiang Mai and a beach area gives you a good look at different parts of Thailand. I fly round trip to Bangkok. From there I head out to other places to visit friends. I return to Bangkok for a day or two before flying home. (Bangkok has good city transportation along with hotels in all price ranges.)

The Christmas and New Years holiday period is the most expensive. Even if you visit during the rainy season the rain is not cold and often the rainfall is not everywhere at the same time. (Hotels and sometimes flights are cheaper during the off season. All of Thailand has warm weather not just beach areas.)

You can do Thailand on your own if you want. But, for safety I think someone from back home is the better choice.

Up to you.
