Travel Forums Introductions Year out in Australia

Hello fellow travellers!
My name's Evie - I'm taking a year's career break from my job in the NHS and I'm planning to travel around Australia, picking up bar work or similar as I go.
I'm going alone, so would be very grateful if anyone has any advice they can pass on, or if anyone is looking for someone to join up with at any point!
My plans are to take a holiday in October to maybe go to Brisbane and map out a tour down the coast to Sydney. I'm then hoping to look at settling somewhere for a while in Melbourne and getting work/accommodation if I can.

Any tips for keeping the costs down would be great too! :)

Welcome to the forums, Evie.

I guess you've got a Working Holiday Visa sorted? Working in Australia without a work visa is illegal, sorry if that's stating the obvious.
