Hello! I am going to Adelaide next year and I have spent many hours looking online for things that I’d like to do! My friend who I am staying with will be helping me out with that of course but I wondered if anyone has any ideas for me?! Any hidden gems out there that don’t flag up on Google searches?! All that does seem to come up when you search things to do in Adelaide is wine tasting! I’m all for some of that but not every day … 🤫😁

I remember a lovely (though sadly not very well maintained when I was there) small Japanese Garden in Adelaide - it's on the southeast of the city center. The Botanic Gardens (in the northeast) were also lovely - definitely worth strolling through for a few hours.

If you have transport to get out of the city, that's probably well worth your while, too. Recommendations vary depending on how much time you'd have.

Hi there you will find Adelaide to be alot slower than other capital cities but still worth the visit. Adelaide Hills are well worth a look, Handorf, Lobethal etc. Also a drive down to the Fluire Peninsula, Victor Harbour, and surrounds. Also Goolwa, which is where the Murray River starts and meets the Ocean. You can also take a ferry to Kangaroo Island from Cape Jervis and is only a short crossing, with accomm available if you wanted to stay on the island. Outside of Adelaide, Barossa Valley. Adelaide is a beautiful city and very lay back so enjoy. Once you are there you'll e able to grab more info depending on what you are hoping to do from the Tourism office. Have fun and enjoy

Kangaroo island is great as is flinders ranges national park should you wish to get out of the city and do something other than winery visits!
