Hi!
How are you everyone? I’m new here. I have one question also . Is hitch-haking is safe in other countries than Poland? In next with my friend we want to take part in Some kind of hitch-haking race.

Without knowing which countries you want to visit that's an impossible question to answer. Every country is different. In some countries hitch-hiking wouldn't be safe anywhere, in some it wouldn't be safe in certain areas, in some it wouldn't be safe for visitors, in some it wouldn't be safe for women, in some it wouldn't be safe for anyone travelling alone....

If you mean just EU/Schengen countries hitch-hiking is as safe as it is in Poland but even so I wouldn't advise any woman travelling alone to hitch-hike. Even two women travelling together isn't very safe imo.

Also, in the EU/Schengen countries you may well have problems getting lifts. Many/most truck companies no longer allow their drivers to pick up hitch-hikers and many individual drivers won't either. You'll probably find it takes you much longer to get from one place to another than you expect.

I think it will be safer to take a bus. Think about buying a lottery ticket, you can buy one every day for a long time and get nothing! Then one day you are a winner! You might get by hitching rides every day without problems! But one day you could be a victim!

Yeah, it's always a gamble. Also if it's a race I assume you both gonna be hitch-hiking alone, and that might be not ideal.
