Hi everyone,
My partner and I are about to move to Vietnam to find English teaching work. We have ten year's of experience teaching English in other Asian countries.
I'm about to have my documents certified/apostilled/legalised and the cost is going to be £873 for 6 documents (degrees, celtas, police check). Here is a breakdown of the costs:
Fee to certify 6 x documents with a solicitor: £150 (We would usually make certified copies from the originals and legalise the copies unless you specifically request the originals themselves to be certified and legalised)
Fee to apostille 6 x documents at the FCDO: £354
Fee to legalise 6 x documents at the Vietnamese Embassy: £360
Postage by Special Delivery to a UK address: £9
Total: £873
I feel like this is pretty high. I'd assumed it would cost around £300 like it did for when we moved to Korea. So, I guess I just want to ask if this price is similar to what others have paid?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
Emma
