Hi
Just on the off chance… I am a 55 year old primary school teacher and am desperate to go to Thailand again in the summer holidays. I have a partner but he doesn’t fancy it so was wondering if there are any other primary school teachers who are perhaps on their own and wanting to travel! I love walking, cooking and relaxing on beaches with a good book! ☺️

Hello.

Similar questions have come up every now and then on this forum. What I suggested for those questions is that you try to get someone from back home, preferably in your own city. This way you can verify the person is who they say they are. Perhaps another teacher that retired early, even ask of your former teacher co-workers.

IF you have no luck you can always go on your own. I have come across female retirees traveling on their own several times in Thailand. As long as you do not consume too much alcohol and take chances you can have a good time.

If you are looking for someone to share hotel and other expenses that is another thing. In Thailand you can easily sign up for day tours in person through travel agencies or even hotel tour desks. I find Bangkok cheaper than some good beach areas. You could relax by a pool as well as cook yourself on a beach. There are cooking schools in Bangkok if you are interested.

"...in the summer holidays.."

There are many beaches in Thailand, choose a beach good for the month you will visit. This way less rain or less heat. If you need to include diving some beach areas are better than others in Thailand.

Up to you!
