Hi all,

I am an Indian Passport holder and currently staying in Montevideo, Uruguay. If anyone travelling to India and the route is as follows, do they need any Transit VISA for Brazil?

MVD - Sao Paulo GRU Airport
Sao Paulo GRU Airport - ADD Adidis Ababa
ADD Adidis Ababa - Bengaluru

At any of the intermediate stops do you have to leave the secure area of the airport to claim your luggage? Will your luggage be transferred to the next flight?

no, you don't need a visa, even if the layover is in a third country where you would need a visa to travel to. However, there are a few exceptions, as well as a few things you should know about transiting in a third country.

Probably not, if you are taking ET 507 from EZE to GRU to ADD and connecting to ET 690 to BLR. The stop in GRU is one hour 15 minutes before the 12-hour flight to ADD. However, if you are taking GOL or LATAM to GRU from MVD, note that GOL uses Terminal 2 at GRU, while LATAM uses Terminals 2 and 3. Ethiopian arrives and departs from Terminal 2. In any case, check with the airline(s) you are using.
