Travel Forums Africa and The Middle East Saudi + Oman visas

Does anyone know if Saudi Arabia and Oman have a combined visa? I read something about it on Wego blog a while ago and was wondering if it is in place. Both are hefty visa fees ~ 220 USD each. It'd be great if it was valid for both countries.

As far as I know the agreement was only made/announced this summer and the unified visa hasn't yet been introduced. I can't find any info about the proposed start date.

US citizens can get an evisa for SA at around 145USD. Official site:

Oman also has an evisa system:

Coming from US no Oman visa is necessary for stay less than 2 weeks. For 2 week to 1 month stay costs $52.

Thanks for the feedback, leics2 and zzlangerhans. Appreciated! I just got my tickets - excited now. I'm flying into Jeddah and intend to meander around to Oman and fly back from Muscat.

The 14 days free entry to Oman sounds great but do you know if that is good for land borders as well? I also don't see any land borders between SA and Oman that are open. Anyone done this?

As always, thanks for any info.
