I'm planning to move to the Philippines in about 4 months. Lookibg for a place within reasonable distance to good nightlife. But I keep seeing people talk about girly bars, go go bars, ktv bars, jtv bars.. what's the difference?

Philippines.

I know what beer bars are and what go-go bars are in the Phillippines. The other stuff will show up with a Google type search. (Beer Bars have open sides, often with a long bench where you can view people walking or driving by. Go-go bars, ladies in bars dancing in cages or small platforms.)

Move to me means staying for a long time vs just a simple tourist visit. If staying for a long time have you investigated your visa requirements?

The Philippine Islands (P.I.) is over 7000 Islands.

Manila and Angeles City will meet some of your nightlife requirements.
When you say "looking for a place" do you mean a house or hotel?

Before making a complete move there - visit as a tourist first if you have never been there!

I have some acquaintances who moved from the P.I. to Thailand. (American retirees with pensions.) If not a simple tourist visit do a search for some of the many Expat Forums that have more detail for permanent long time moves. Also check recovery from past or new Covid stuff.)

Good luck.
